You’ll find the lesser seen Khao Man Kai under the chef’s specialties section at this SLC Thai restaurant. The dish is a Thai take on Hainanese chicken – essentially steamed/boiled chicken, sliced skin on, then layered over steaming white rice. The dish at Sara Thai comes with a side of chicken fat powered broth that you liberally pour over the whole dish to add fatty umami. A side of ginger-garlic sauce makes for a fabulous finishing touch.
