Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club, a one-of-its-kind dining, drinking, and entertainment destination located in downtown Salt Lake City’s cultural district at The Gateway, opens for business on Wednesday, December 8. The next evening The Sporting Club at Night will launch a high-energy, weekly industry party that will continue Friday and Saturday nights at 10:30 p.m. A signature weekend brunch party will debut on Sunday, December 12 starting at 11 a.m. The multi-concept venue is now accepting reservations for dining and private events.
Conceived by Las Vegas-based Carver Road Hospitality and designed by award-winning international design studio DesignAgency, Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club features The Restaurant, three uniquely-designed bars, The Sporting Club for gameday viewing and nighttime entertainment and hosted parties, private karaoke and sports simulator suites (available to all patrons seven nights a week), and The Parlor cocktail lounge complete with retro bowling lanes and throwback music.
The food menu presents elevated American fare developed by culinary director Jeannie Glass. Dishes will be served in the centerpiece Restaurant, as well as The Sporting Club and The Parlor. Brunch menus are available every Saturday and Sunday in The Restaurant and The Sporting Club. A lively and fun Sunday Champagne Brunch party happens in The Sporting Club’s high-tech space and The Parlor.
Flanker’s beverage program, created by internationally-renowned mixologist and spirits educator Francesco Lafranconi, includes carefully curated cocktails that are a mix of timeless classics and contemporary recipes. With its rich and creamy Bourbon Milk Punch 2.0., Flanker kicks up a notch the classic New Orleans Brunch drink by incorporating Jim Beam Bourbon, Disaronno Amaretto, Half & Half, maple syrup, nutmeg, and a dash of chocolate bitters. Get refreshed with the Gateway Raddler, a tasty mix of Aperol, St-Germain Liqueur, fresh lemon and Ethereal Leichte Weisse by T.F. Brewing (Salt Lake City). Cocktail craftsmanship is on full display with the Rendezvous, a creative concoction of Tanqueray Sevilla Gin, Waterpocket Notom Amaro, orange rooibos, citrus and a “rosemary smoke cloud.” Topped with sparkling wine.
The beer menu encompasses craft favorites from Utah’s award-winning breweries alongside domestic and import favorites including eclectic Belgian Trappist selections. The wine offerings include value-driven favorites mixed with lesser-known gems, encouraging guests to explore new regions and varietals to pair with Glass’s dishes.
